So I have been to Aroma a few times already. The first time I went was with my girlfriend. The curtius waiter showed us to a very romantic and secluded place in the restaurant. The restaurant has a very charming and comfortable feeling about it. By far the best part was the food. The menu is wide ranging you just want to order a bit of everything. The tasting tastes pretty much let you do that. But the food was incredible. My girlfriend loved it, so even better. I also came with a large party of over 40 people from work. Again the food was superb. Everything went smoothly and everyone had a blast. It just goes to show that Aroma offers something for everyone. For the couple you can have a nice romantic dinner and when you have a large group it's a great party atmosphere. I am now steadily going to Aroma for lunch and dinner, you should too.

Disregard any poor reviews given to this restaurant. It is Kingston's hidden gem and should be packed to the rafters every night. The meals are different and incredible. Service couldn't have been better.
Definitely a recommended restaurant for any occasion.

If you're confused by the occasional poor review on this restaurant, I would put it down to a patron who is just plain 'difficult' some people are just impossible to please. Period. Our experience at this restaurant was superb. We eat out at least weekly in Ottawa & Toronto, and this establishment is as good as any we've been in, under the 'casual fine dining' genre. The server was delightful, courteous and efficient. The food was excellent, as was the presentation. The ambience was 'cool funky', and we noticed that there was not the usual howl of people trying to talk over one another - the funky music could be heard clearly, without it being intrusive. If you think this is a terrible restuarant, then good luck finding one you like, on this planet anyway.

We eat out weekly in Toronto & Ottawa, and this restaurant is as good as any 'Casula Fine Dining' restaurant we've been in. Creative menu, presented beautifully, and served by a warm & efficient server. The restaurant space is well designed with a contemporary, funky feel. Background noise was well absorbed, and the interesting house music could be enjoyed without it being intrusive. As good as it gets.

we thought the food was outstanding and our server Karen was knowledgable and a delight .The only thing I would suggest is to break up the main room to give a warmer feel.

I am a regular at Aroma and I should of written a review a year ago when I first went. I absolutely love Gurks menu,not much I don't like. Creative to say the least would best describe his food and all the servers are great. Loving the new menu girk.Congratulations on your 1st Year!!

I have been to this restaurant twice in the last year. My GF and my mom were with me both times. We had a excellent meal on both occasions. The food is great. One of the top restuarants in Kingston for casual fine dining.

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. I watched as my food just sat and waited for our underqualified waitress to retrieve it, the service was less than delightful and myself and my guest felt ignored and sat waiting for drinks and refills for prolonged periods. The presentation was nice, but not innovative, quite typical of this type of restaurant and if the food were served at the intended temperature it would have been quite good. The managers were not helpful upon complaint, and the waitress somehow got a hold of my phone number from the manager and called to complain about my dissatisfaction, which at that point, I was yelled at by the waitress, and manager. I was finally promised a gift certificate which was never mailed to me, not that I really wanted to return, however I do believe it is fair for the lackluster meal and service I was provided with. Its a shame this website does not have a button lower than poor, because I would be choosing it again and again for this restaurant not only because of my experience that night, but having to deal with harassment on the phone while someone tries valiantly to learn customer service and management. Best of luck with your asset liquidation in the near future. Also, to the waitress rebutting my preivous review, you should go back to grammer school...just a thought.

Four of us ate dinner at the Aroma on Saturday evening. This was the second visit for my wife and for me. The meal the first time was great and this time it was fantastic. The appetizers were delicious and everyone mentioned that their main course was super. We did not have room for dessert.
The server was efficient, professional and very courteous. She added a personal touch and was very knowledgeable about items on the menu. Every course was served at just the right time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. I will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner ,nice lighting, the server was proffessional and kind. I was told by friends to try Aroma and I too will spread the word..Definetly a class of its own!!

My collegues and I enjoyed our lunch today at Aroma...The Pad thai with Shrimp was delicious...the service was great and speedy...I was informed we can phone in our lunch order so it doesn't take away from our lunch break which is a Fabulous idea!!! This is my 1st review but I want to give my support...I will spread the word!!

I must say I've never had food quite as enjoyable as at Aroma .The imagination that was put into each dish is far beyond mine.I highly recommend this restaurant and the fact that it is run by two wonderful people that were humbled by my compliments make it all the worth while. I will look forward to there new menu in April ..and a Thank you goes out to our server as well...highly knowledgable of the ingredients and the preparation of the dishes..hope I didn't ask too many questions..thank you

we really enjoyed the selection of foods ..it catered to any size appetite ...I highly recommend starting with the tasting plates... we chose two -shrimp pot stickers and goat cheese stuffed flaffels .It was nice to see the selection of wines also ,and that we could order a small glass aswell this is good for some wine tasting!!... great job look forward to our next visit.

I feel compelled to rebut this Review (dated in the last few days) I am the server who served this table and as follows will just be a few statements. As a server knows when you approach a table you know whether or not to fade into the backround as you serve or to engage.It is the VIBE given by the customer.I believe everyone knows the purpose of a quality check,this is done about 5 minutes after the food is served to ensure theres not a problem or if there is one that it is corrected right away. Having said this I'd like to point out that I offered the young lady another drink twice,once while giving extra bread for there spreads and the second time during the QUALITY CHECK ( which at this time did not complain but in fact said everything was fine) Also filling there waters when low.I also must point out with great pride that there is no warmer like MCD's The chef as well as the owner would flip if the food was up more than two minutes. And it is in Noones best interest to give Stale and Cold Food as well as Bad service with such a new and upcoming Restaurant. But with every Good Review there must bad, but I'd much prefer the Bad to have some substantiated Evidence!

Disappointed with this resturaunt would be an understatement, not only was the service slow, the waitress was curt and impolite. Our food sat under a warmer for 15 minutes in plain view, at one point I almost got up to get it myself. By the time it was served it was stale and cold. After dinner we approached the manager with our comments and got the same curt attitude as from the rest of the staff. My advice is to avoid this meagre attempt for a restaurant like the plague. At least McDs smiles when they give you cold stale food.

We enjoyed a delightful dinner at Aroma. The food was delicious, and beautifully presented. We liked the variety of menu items and choice of light meals available. Our waitress was knowledgable, friendly and compentent. We plan to return!

Visitors to Kingston, enjoyed a very good meal on Monday, Oct. 29. Our pizza was over the top good quality, no local red wine by the glass though, settled for imported. Salad was very good with marinated red onion, greens, lots of olives, cucumbers, very tasty. The only problem was it was cold in there, they were leaving the exit door open for the smokers and freezing us out. Our waiter was very nice, polite and just attentive enough. I'd lover to go back if we lived closer.

We had dinner at Aroma on Saturday night, it was an experience for sure. The food and presentation was a amazing. The service was wonderful, and the wine list is perfect. You wait for the food, but would you rather eat quickly and hate it or wait and love it. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what your missing. Cheers to Aroma

13 Sept 07, we just returned from dinner a half hour ago! We decided to try this restraunt as our daughter-in-law encouraged us to try it and so did the hostess Margo. First impression of the decor was somewhat void as there was little atmosphere. It almost seemed that they were still working on it....Our waitress although polite had no sincerity in her tone and seemed much the same as the decor but Kerstain the other waitress whom I observed throughout our dinner was a splendid, charming and professional server. I will be requesting her as our server next time, yes, we LOVED the food and presentation. The idea of having the 3 for $15 appetizers was a great idea. I would highly recommend Aroma for the food.

I was very disappointed with the timing of service provided by the restaurant. Our party of five endured a wait of one hour from time of order to time of service. Fortunately the quality, taste, and presentation of the meal made up for the small servings that eventually arrived. I will not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Went to this restaurant with a group of 10. Very poor service and small portions. Waited a long time to get our food. No water, one basket of bread, no butter. One of the group didn't even get her order served!!! They forgot her order! Had to ask for water, more bread, pepper and salt etc. Did not get asked if we would like coffee or dessert! All this for 24.99 plus tax. Very disappointing, our group has voted this a thumbs down and will not return.

Excellent meal, prepared and presented with perfection. Great, attentive wait staff. Newly renovated setting in a great part of K'town. We will return and highly recommend Aroma-Restro WineBar.

Our meal was fantastic. Dinner was amazing. Presentation was unforgettable. And dessert was to die for.
