Excellent. Both my husband and I enjoyed our meal, the prices were reasonable, service was excellent and it was nice to speak to the owner. The decor was pleasant.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Greek Islands for our Christmas lunch. Plan on returning very shortly!

I went in for lunch with my wife and son. We had two orders of the lunch chicken souvlaki which took 35 minutes to get. Hard to understand when the restaurant only had 3 other tables. When we finally got our meals, our side tzatzikis were very watery on the top. I asked my server why they were so watery and she proceeded to tell me that when they are done with the plastic cups, they re-use them by washing them. Ewww. Isn't that a health hazard???? Needless to say, we won't be back and will recommend to all of our friends.... NOT TO DINE.

very very very excellent authentic greek cuisine. they are the best in kingston and the owners are very attentive to their guests. the open kitchen with the same chefs on the weekend delicately preparing your food makes this a cant miss. there is a huge feast where you get to sample pretty well the entire menu for 50 bucks and you will leave stuffed with 8 take out continers as well. Go to this restaurant in K town ...

I went on March 13th, 2009 with two other people and had an amazing time. I ordered the Mousaka which was amazing, the service (Amanda was our waitress) was extremely attentive (without being intrusive) even the owners took the time to come and check in on us. Great atmosphere too!

Fabulous food, service & atmosphere. Proprietors are always there to welcome you. We have been there many times, and had our Rehearsal Dinner there in Aug 2008. It was everything we could have asked for, and more!

My wife and I had dinner here just the other night. We sat at the bar to wait for a table. The server behind the bar politely asked if we would like a drink. We ordered a few drinks and waited while the server asked another server to make my wife's daquiri. Another server started to poor my beer then left it sitting at the draft pump half full of foam. The young woman who took our order apologized and explained that the restaurant has a rule about not getting the drinks that they order. What kind of ridiculous rule is this? The restaurant was clearly busy and the servers didn't have time to get ouri drinks, we sat and watched the woman behind the bar get drinks for the other servers while we, and another couple waited. I do not think the owners of the restaurant are sympathetic to their customers or their servers. Once we were seated, the service was good and so was the food.

Best Greek in town. Friendly and fun atmosphere and delicious - but very traditional - Greek food. Also a good take-out place.

Excellent Food! Great Service and Hospitality! Wonderful Atmosphere! The owners have done a great job in creating a lovely Greek dining ambience!

I always have a great meal at The Greek Islands the service is good food is always really hot. I do not understand some of these complaints. If you ever worked at a resturant you should know it is a team effort and one weak link could potentially ruin it for everyone. Be more sympathic to servers. If the food isnt how you want it tell someone. If something is not done about it then request a discount. The server is only as good as the kitchen is. What bothers me is seeing a server run around the resturant trying to please everyone and if the food doesnt stand up to sometimes impossible expectations the server gets jipped.

Awsome. The owners make this place very special. Great food, great value, wonderful atmosphere.

Marvellous food. The service was friendly, the food was fresh,fabulous, and plentiful. The aroma of garlic, cheese, and wine was fabulous. A great place to dine-especially at a fireside table on a chilly evening. Always a pleasure.

We made reservations for a party of four at the last moment this Monday December 17,2007 @ 600 p.m. Arrived and were welcomed along with seated quickly in a very large and comfortable booth. The atmosphere was, pleasantly decorated in Greek wall murals and a cosy gas fireplace to set us in a quiet and relaxing mood along with Greek music in the background.

Our waitress was Ashley, whom immediately made us feel welcome and offered the daily specialties along with time to view the extensive menu selections. As we are not into heavy drinking I can not offer any experience on the usually bar and grill experience as so often is the

I came here when it first happened and thought it was an avereage restaurant. I went again last week and let me tell you I will NEVER be back and I will tell everyone I know not to go there. First of all, our server was not very nice and didn't know very much. I asked for a daiquiri and my husband ordered a draft beer. We received the wrong beer and there was whipped cream on my daiquiri (who puts whipped cream on a daiquiri?) We ordered our meals and then waited and waited and waited. We waited 20 minutes for our saldads which were soggy and then an additional 45 minutes for our food. Hoping that our food would be at least hot because of the wait we were not so suprised to receive cold food that tasted like it had been sitting for hours in a freezer.
Not only that but the woman who walks around, I don't know what she is, I'm assuming the owner because I would think a manager would have more to do then walk around trying to look important, came and asked us we complained politley about the situation and she apologized and then that was it, no discount, no nothing. Last but not least, my husband ordered the double chicken soulvaki and received little tzatki sauce, he ate all that was given in his meal and when we got home we saw that they didn't even give us a takeout tzatki, how cheap is that? I will never return and I will make sure to let everyone know about my horrific experience.

Horrible food, too long of a wait

What a wonderful place to celebrate with family and friends. The food is outstanding and the service is friendly and courteous. Get there early on the weekend though because otherwise you will have to wait a bit - or, better yet, make a reservation.
